According to the author of 1 Chronicles, there was a fight at a place called Gezer, where a brave man named Sibbechai defeated a giant from the enemy group called the Philistines, helping to win the battle. This shows how brave and strong people of God can be when they face big challenges.
1 Chronicles 20:4: And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, [that was] of the children of the giant: and they were subdued. 2 Samuel 21:18 names Sibbechai as the killer of Saph (the Philistine giant), whereas 1 Chronicles 20:4 states that Sibbechai slew Sippai, possibly indicating a difference in names or individuals.
