According to the writer of 1 Kings, this verse tells us how King Solomon put special stands in the temple, with five on each side, and placed a big water bowl on the right side. These things helped people worship and remember how important God is.
1 Kings 7:39: And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south. [side: Heb. shoulder]
This verse states that Solomon placed the lavers on the right side of the house, eastward, over against the south, which contradicts the location described in 1 Kings 7:39.
2 Chronicles 4:10: And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.
