Contradiction with 1 Kings 2:25
In 2 Chronicles 22:9, Ahaziah is captured and killed by Jehu's men, whereas, in 1 Kings 2:25, Adonijah is put to death by Benaiah upon King Solomon’s orders, emphasizing different executioners and contexts.
1 Kings 2:25: And king Solomon sent by the hand of Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell upon him that he died.
Contradiction with 2 Kings 9:27-28
2 Chronicles 22:9 states that Ahaziah was captured alive and then slain, whereas 2 Kings 9:27-28 describes Ahaziah fleeing, being wounded at the ascent of Gur, and then dying at Megiddo, suggesting different locations of death.
2 Kings 9:27-28: But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw [this], he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. [And they did so] at the going up to Gur, which [is] by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
Paradox #1
There is a contradiction related to this verse when compared to the account in 2 Kings 9:27-28. The issue is about how King Ahaziah of Judah's death is described differently in the two texts. In 2 Kings, Ahaziah is wounded at Beth Haggan and dies in Megiddo, while in 2 Chronicles, he is captured, brought to Jehu, and killed. These conflicting details about the location and manner of his death create an inconsistency between the accounts.
