Contradiction with 1 Samuel 2:30
In this verse, God promises to honor those who honor Him, whereas in 2 Chronicles 36:10, we see Jehoiachin, who was not honoring God, being taken away as a captive.
1 Samuel 2:30: Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed [that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
Contradiction with Galatians 6:7
This verse says that a man reaps what he sows, yet Jehoiachin's capture seems contradictory if one assumes his actions alone determined his fate.
Galatians 6:7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Contradiction with Proverbs 11:21
States that the wicked will not go unpunished, yet many believe Jehoiachin's short reign did not provide enough time for wicked deeds, making his punishment seem hasty compared to this proverb.
Proverbs 11:21: [Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
Contradiction with Psalm 37:25
States that the righteous are never forsaken, yet Jehoiachin, who may not have committed personal wrongdoing in his short reign, was taken captive.
Psalm 37:25: I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Contradiction with Jeremiah 29:11
Speaks of God's plans to prosper and not harm His people, contradicting the seeming harm and lack of prosperity in Jehoiachin's capture.
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. [expected...: Heb. end and expectation]
