According to the author of the book of 2 Chronicles, Solomon was told how to build a special house for God, which needed to be very big and the size was about as long as sixty steps and as wide as twenty steps. This means that instructions were given to make sure the house was just the right size for worshiping God.
2 Chronicles 3:3: Now these [are the things wherein] Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure [was] threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. [instructed: Heb. founded]
This verse states the dimensions of Solomon's temple differently, offering measurements that do not align with those given in 2 Chronicles 3:3.
1 Kings 6:2: And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof [was] threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty [cubits], and the height thereof thirty cubits.
