According to the chronicler, God helped Solomon by sending skilled sailors from Huram to work with Solomon's men. Together, they went on a big journey and brought back lots of gold for King Solomon.

Contradiction with 1 Kings 9:28

2 Chronicles 8:18 states the ships went to Ophir for gold and brought back 450 talents, while 1 Kings 9:28 mentions they brought back only 420 talents.

1 Kings 9:28: And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought [it] to king Solomon.

Paradox #1

2 Chronicles 8:18 mentions King Hiram of Tyre sending ships and skilled sailors to Solomon, but in 1 Kings 9:26-28, it is suggested that Solomon built his own fleet and sent his own men. This creates a slight contradiction regarding who provided the ships and crew for Solomon's fleet.
