According to the author of the book, Jehoahaz was a young king who only ruled for a short time, just three months, in the city of Jerusalem. His mom was named Hamutal, and she was the daughter of a man named Jeremiah from a place called Libnah.
2 Kings 23:31: Jehoahaz [was] twenty and three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. [Jehoahaz: also called, Shallum]
This verse states that Jehoahaz was 23 years old when he began to reign, contradicting 2 Kings 23:31, which says he was 25 years old.
