Contradiction with 2 Kings 25:22
Explains the appointment of Gedaliah after the captivity, which some interpret as implying no additional captives were taken contradicting the idea that more people would be brought to Babylon.
2 Kings 25:22: And [as for] the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
Contradiction with Jeremiah 39:10
States that Nebuzaradan left certain poor people in the land, possibly contradicting the idea that everyone was taken captive.
Jeremiah 39:10: But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time. [captain...: or, chief marshal: Heb. chief of the executioners, or, slaughtermen] [at the...: Heb. in that day]
