Contradiction with Genesis 28:15
2 Kings 2:2 discusses Elijah's imminent departure from Elisha, whereas Genesis 28:15 promises God's presence and protection wherever Jacob goes.
Genesis 28:15: And, behold, I [am] with thee, and will keep thee in all [places] whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done [that] which I have spoken to thee of.
Contradiction with Matthew 28:20
In 2 Kings 2:2, Elijah tells Elisha to stay behind, in contrast to Matthew 28:20, where Jesus promises to always be with his disciples.
Matthew 28:20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
Contradiction with Hebrews 13:5
Hebrews 13:5 emphasizes God never leaving or forsaking believers, contradicting Elijah's suggestion to Elisha to stay while he goes on alone in 2 Kings 2:2.
Hebrews 13:5: [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
