Contradiction with Genesis 1:9
While Acts 27:5 speaks of traversing waters, Genesis 1:9 describes the gathering of waters, forming dry land.
Genesis 1:9: And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry [land] appear: and it was so.
Contradiction with Matthew 14:25
In Acts 27:5, travel is by ship; Matthew 14:25 depicts Jesus walking on water, defying the need for a vessel.
Matthew 14:25: And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
Contradiction with Jonah 1:3
Acts 27:5 involves unimpeded navigation, whereas Jonah 1:3 describes Jonah's attempt to flee by ship being disrupted by a storm.
Jonah 1:3: But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
Contradiction with Revelation 21:1
Acts 27:5 describes sea travel, in contrast, Revelation 21:1 envisions a new earth without seas.
Revelation 21:1: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Contradiction with Mark 4:39
Acts 27:5 presents normal sea travel conditions; Mark 4:39 contradicts this with a depiction of Jesus calming a violent storm.
Mark 4:39: And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
