Contradiction with Genesis 6:14
While Acts 27:6 speaks about a ship already made, this verse instructs Noah to build an ark because destruction was coming, not salvation like Paul anticipated.
Genesis 6:14: Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. [rooms: Heb. nests]
Contradiction with Jonah 1:3
Jonah flees from God's command by taking a ship, whereas in Acts 27:6, Paul boards the ship as part of fulfilling his divine mission.
Jonah 1:3: But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
Contradiction with Matthew 14:29
Peter walks on water to meet Jesus, contrasting the dependence on a ship for travel seen in Acts 27:6.
Matthew 14:29: And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Contradiction with John 6:21
The disciples receive Jesus into their ship, and immediately they are at their destination, contrasting with the laborious journey implied in Acts 27:6.
John 6:21: Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
Contradiction with Revelation 18:17
Speaks of the destruction of ships, while in Acts 27:6, the ship is merely a vehicle for Paul's continuing mission.
