Contradiction with Genesis 35:18
Exodus 1:2 lists Simeon as one of the sons of Jacob; however, Genesis 35:18 records the death of Rachel, who is their mother, suggesting not all were born when she died.

Contradiction with Deuteronomy 10:22
Exodus 1:2 counts Jacob’s sons, yet Deuteronomy 10:22 highlights Jacob’s broader family, describing them as seventy souls who went down to Egypt.
Deuteronomy 10:22: Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
Contradiction with Genesis 30:24
Exodus 1:2 lists Joseph among Jacob's sons at the time of coming to Egypt; however, Genesis 30:24 emphasizes Joseph was already in Egypt prior to their arrival, contradicting the notion of travel with them.
