Contradiction with Judges 2:17
Judges 2:17 mentions the Israelites worshiping other gods, which recounts disobedience to the command in Exodus 23:24 but does not directly contradict it; rather, it shows a failure to adhere to it.
Judges 2:17: And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; [but] they did not so.
Contradiction with Isaiah 44:9
Isaiah 44:9 rebukes idol makers, affirming the futility of idolatry in agreement with Exodus 23:24 rather than contradicting it.
Isaiah 44:9: They that make a graven image [are] all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they [are] their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. [delectable: Heb. desirable]
Paradox #1
The contradiction or conflict in Exodus 23:24 could be seen in the directive to destroy the religious symbols and practices of other cultures, which might conflict with modern values of religious tolerance and coexistence. This could be seen as inconsistent with the idea of respecting others' beliefs and practices.
