According to Moses, this verse explains how God wanted the priests to carefully prepare a ram for a special offering by cutting it into pieces and cleaning certain parts to show their carefulness and respect for God. It teaches that following God's instructions is important to show love and obedience.
Exodus 29:17: And thou shalt cut the ram in pieces, and wash the inwards of him, and his legs, and put [them] unto his pieces, and unto his head. [unto: or, upon]
Unlike Exodus 29:17, which requires washing and dividing certain parts, this verse instructs that the inwards and legs be washed and burned without mention of dividing them.
Leviticus 1:9: But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, [to be] a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
