Contradiction with John 1:18
This verse states that no one has seen God at any time, contradicting the idea of Moses asking to see God’s glory in Exodus 33:18.
John 1:18: No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
Contradiction with 1 Timothy 6:16
This verse describes God as dwelling in unapproachable light whom no man has seen or can see, contradicting the idea of God revealing His glory to Moses.
1 Timothy 6:16: Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Contradiction with Exodus 33:20
Just two verses later, it states that no man can see God and live, which seems to contradict Moses’ request to see God’s glory.
Exodus 33:20: And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
Paradox #1
Exodus 33:18 is a verse where Moses asks to see God's glory. A potential moral inconsistency could be the idea that Moses, a human, desires to see God's glory, which is often described as overwhelming and beyond human perception. This request might seem contradictory to the belief that humans cannot fully comprehend or behold the divine presence without consequences. This raises questions about human limitations in understanding the divine and God's willingness to reveal Himself.
