Contradiction with Genesis 19:24
While Exodus 3:3 describes a bush that burns without being consumed, Genesis 19:24 describes brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, which consumes by burning.
Genesis 19:24: Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
Contradiction with 1 Kings 18:38
In contrast to the non-consuming fire of Exodus 3:3, this verse describes the fire of the LORD falling and consuming the burnt sacrifice, wood, stones, and dust, and licking up the water that was in the trench.
1 Kings 18:38: Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that [was] in the trench.
Contradiction with Leviticus 9:24
Unlike the bush in Exodus 3:3, which is not consumed, here fire comes out from the LORD and consumes the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar.
Leviticus 9:24: And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: [which] when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
Contradiction with 2 Kings 1:10
This verse contradicts Exodus 3:3 by recounting Elijah calling down fire from heaven that consumes fifty men and their captain.
2 Kings 1:10: And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I [be] a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
Contradiction with Deuteronomy 9:3
The fire in Exodus 3:3 is non-consuming, while this verse describes God as a consuming fire that shall destroy the enemies of Israel.
Deuteronomy 9:3: Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God [is] he which goeth over before thee; [as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
Contradiction with Isaiah 47:14
Describes fire that burns like stubble and cannot be saved from its flame, contrary to the non-consuming fire of the burning bush.
Isaiah 47:14: Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it. [themselves: Heb. their souls]
Contradiction with Jeremiah 21:14
Here it is stated that God's fire kindles a forest and shall devour all things round about it, contradicting the non-consuming aspect of the fire in Exodus 3:3.
