Contradiction with Ezekiel 37:25
This verse speaks of the permanence of the kingdom under David's line, which contrasts with the overturning and change of authority mentioned in Ezekiel 21:27.
Ezekiel 37:25: And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David [shall be] their prince for ever.
Contradiction with 2 Samuel 7:16
This verse promises the endurance of David’s lineage and kingdom, conflicting with the disruption and overturning in Ezekiel 21:27.
2 Samuel 7:16: And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
Paradox #1
The contradiction in Ezekiel 21:27 could arise from the violent and destructive nature of God's judgment described in this verse, which might conflict with the idea of a loving and merciful God. This tension between justice and mercy can be difficult to reconcile.
