Contradiction with Genesis 49:4
Reuben is described as "unstable as water," making his significant land portion seem contradictorily significant in Ezekiel 48:6.
Genesis 49:4: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou [it]: he went up to my couch. [thou shalt...: Heb. do not thou excel] [he went...: or, my couch is gone]
Contradiction with Joshua 13:15
Records the land given to Reuben east of the Jordan, potentially contradicting the westward portion stated in Ezekiel 48:6.
Joshua 13:15: And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben [inheritance] according to their families.
Contradiction with Numbers 32:1
Indicates Reuben and Gad received territory on the east side of Jordan, possibly suggesting a contradiction in land allocation.
