According to Ezekiel, God is telling the people where to put a special area for worship. It's like God is saying, "Here is a big space just for Me, right in the middle of everything, so everyone knows where to come and pray."
Ezekiel 48:8: And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the offering which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand [reeds in] breadth, and [in] length as one of the [other] parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.
This verse outlines the boundaries of the land the Israelites are to inherit, which differs from the division described in Ezekiel 48:8.
