Contradiction with Genesis 37:24
This verse describes Joseph being cast into a pit, which contrasts with the act of freely leaving with supplies in Genesis 42:26.
Genesis 37:24: And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit [was] empty, [there was] no water in it.
Contradiction with Genesis 37:28
In this verse, Joseph is sold into slavery, which contradicts his brothers now returning home freely.
Genesis 37:28: Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty [pieces] of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
Contradiction with Genesis 45:3-4
These verses show Joseph revealing himself to his brothers, contradicting the context of them leaving without knowing his identity in Genesis 42:26.
Genesis 45:3-4: And Joseph said unto his brethren, I [am] Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. [troubled: or, terrified]
Contradiction with Genesis 42:8
In this verse, Joseph's brothers do not recognize him, contradicting the later revelation of Joseph's identity.
Genesis 42:8: And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.
