Contradiction with Genesis 7:11
Genesis 8:2 states that the "fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped," indicating the end of rain, while Genesis 7:11 describes the beginning of the flood with the fountains of the great deep breaking up and the windows of heaven being opened.
Genesis 7:11: In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. [windows: or, floodgates]
Contradiction with Genesis 9:11
Genesis 8:2 discusses the cessation of the flood, whereas Genesis 9:11 promises that there will never again be a flood to destroy the earth, implying a permanent cessation versus a temporary one described in 8:2.
Genesis 9:11: And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
Paradox #1
The contradiction in that verse could be related to how it describes the stopping of rainfall and the closing of the "fountains of the deep." Scientifically, rainfall is a natural process driven by weather patterns, not something that can be simply turned off at once. Additionally, the concept of "fountains of the deep" doesn't align with our understanding of the Earth's geology and hydrology.
