Contradiction with Genesis 2:2
This verse describes God entering rest on the seventh day after creation, contradicting the notion of not entering rest.
Genesis 2:2: And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Contradiction with Matthew 11:28
Jesus offers rest to those who labor and are heavy laden, contrasting the refusal of rest in Hebrews 3:11.
Matthew 11:28: Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Contradiction with Revelation 14:13
The verse promises rest for the dead who die in the Lord, opposing the denial of rest in Hebrews 3:11.
Revelation 14:13: And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. [from henceforth...: or, from henceforth saith the Spirit, Yea]
Paradox #1
Hebrews 3:11 warns about not entering God's rest due to disobedience. A contradiction might arise if someone questions why a loving God doesn't give rest to everyone, even those who disobey. This can seem inconsistent with the idea of unconditional love and forgiveness.
