Contradiction with Isaiah 41:10
While Isaiah 20:5 suggests that people were ashamed and frightened because they relied on a nation that could not save them, Isaiah 41:10 offers assurance and encouragement, promising divine support and telling people not to fear.
Isaiah 41:10: Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Paradox #1
The moral conflict in Isaiah 20:5 could arise from the implication of loss of hope or trust in alliances between nations. On the one hand, it suggests reliance on human alliances which may fail, which could contradict beliefs about relying on divine protection. This might create tension between trusting human efforts and maintaining faith in divine plans.
