According to Jeremiah, God is telling people to get married and have families, so they can have lots of children and not become fewer in number. It's like God wants everyone to grow their families and be happy in their new homes.
Jeremiah 29:6: Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
Jeremiah is instructed not to marry or have children, which contradicts Jeremiah 29:6 that encourages taking wives and having children.
