Contradiction with Jeremiah 38:13
This verse describes Jeremiah being pulled out of the dungeon, contrasting with Jeremiah 39:14 which states he remained in the court of the prison.
Jeremiah 38:13: So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
Contradiction with Jeremiah 37:21
In this verse, it is mentioned that Jeremiah stayed in the court of the prison, contradicting the notion of being released as mentioned in Jeremiah 39:14.
Jeremiah 37:21: Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
Contradiction with Jeremiah 1:19
God assures Jeremiah of protection and deliverance, which might seem to contradict the experiences of captivity in Jeremiah 39:14.
