According to Jeremiah, the people took away important things made of metal that were used in the temple for special ceremonies. These items included pots, shovels, and other tools that helped the priests do their work.
Jeremiah 52:18: The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away. [shovels: or, instruments to remove the ashes] [bowls: or, basons]
Jeremiah 52:18 lists the items taken to Babylon, while 2 Kings 25:14 provides a slightly different inventory, leading to contradictions in the accounts of the items taken.
