Contradiction with Isaiah 32:18
While Job 15:28 speaks of dwelling in desolate cities that are destined to become ruins, Isaiah 32:18 promises that God's people will dwell in peaceful habitation, secure homes, and quiet resting places.
Isaiah 32:18: And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
Contradiction with Jeremiah 33:12
In contrast to Job 15:28, which talks about living in desolate houses, Jeremiah 33:12 speaks of places again filled with shepherds resting their flocks, indicating restoration and habitation.
Jeremiah 33:12: Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing [their] flocks to lie down.
Contradiction with Ezekiel 36:10
Job 15:28 mentions desolate cities, whereas Ezekiel 36:10 promises that the cities shall be inhabited, and ruins will be rebuilt.
Ezekiel 36:10: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, [even] all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:
Contradiction with Nehemiah 7:4
Job 15:28 describes uninhabited desolate places, but Nehemiah 7:4 suggests future prosperity and habitation even though the city was large and great; the people were few therein.
Nehemiah 7:4: Now the city [was] large and great: but the people [were] few therein, and the houses [were] not builded. [large: Heb. broad in spaces]
Contradiction with Isaiah 44:26
Contrary to Job 15:28, which discusses desolation, Isaiah 44:26 declares God's promise to restore and rebuild the cities, making habitation flourish.
Isaiah 44:26: That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: [decayed...: Heb. wastes]
