Contradiction with Psalm 1:3-4
While Job 8:13 talks about the way of the hypocrite being doomed, Psalm 1:3-4 contrasts the stable, prosperous life of the righteous man with that of the wicked, who are like chaff blown away, implying different outcomes for individuals' lives.
Psalm 1:3-4: And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. [wither: Heb. fade]
Contradiction with Proverbs 14:11
Job 8:13 mentions the fate of those who forget God, but Proverbs 14:11 discusses how the house of the wicked shall be destroyed, while the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish, hinting at a more complex scenario regarding the fate of people based on their behavior.
Proverbs 14:11: The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
Contradiction with Ecclesiastes 8:14
This verse states that there are just men who receive the fate of the wicked, and wicked men who receive the fate of the righteous, which contradicts the straightforward cause-and-effect notion implied in Job 8:13 about the sinful ultimately fading like smoke.
Ecclesiastes 8:14: There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just [men], unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked [men], to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also [is] vanity.
