Contradiction with Isaiah 53:9
Isaiah speaks of the suffering servant being with the rich in his death, while in John 19:18, Jesus is crucified among criminals.
Isaiah 53:9: And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither [was any] deceit in his mouth. [death: Heb. deaths]
Contradiction with Luke 23:39-43
In John 19:18, both criminals are crucified with Jesus, but Luke describes one criminal defending Jesus and being promised paradise.
Luke 23:39-43: And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
Contradiction with Mark 15:31-32
The chief priests and scribes mock Jesus, challenging Him to come down from the cross, which contrasts with the passive depiction in John 19:18.
Mark 15:31-32: Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
Contradiction with Matthew 27:44
Both criminals initially mock Jesus, differing from John's account where no interaction is described among them at that point.
Matthew 27:44: The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
