Contradiction with John 7:10
While John 7:8 states Jesus is not going to the feast, in John 7:10, He does go up to the feast.
John 7:10: But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
Paradox #1
John 7:8 might appear to conflict with later verses in the same chapter because Jesus tells his brothers he is not going to the festival, but he later goes in secret. This can seem inconsistent because his actions appear to contradict his words. Some interpretations suggest that Jesus initially meant he wouldn't go publicly or with his brothers, but later decided to go on his own timing. Others suggest differences in manuscript traditions or understanding of his intentions.
Paradox #2
Paradox #3
The contradiction in John 7:8 revolves around the timing of Jesus's actions. In some interpretations, it appears Jesus says he will not go to a festival, but later, he does go. This seems inconsistent based on his initial statement, leading to confusion about his intent and timing.
