Contradiction with Numbers 33:53
This verse commands the Israelites to dispossess the inhabitants of the land, seemingly contradicting the allowance for them to remain in Joshua 13:6.
Numbers 33:53: And ye shall dispossess [the inhabitants] of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
Contradiction with Deuteronomy 7:2
This verse instructs to utterly destroy the Canaanites, unlike the approach in Joshua 13:6 which does not immediately remove them.
Deuteronomy 7:2: And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, [and] utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
Contradiction with Joshua 23:13
This verse warns that failure to drive out the inhabitants will result in them becoming a snare, contrary to the perspective of leaving them be in Joshua 13:6.
Joshua 23:13: Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out [any of] these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
Contradiction with Judges 2:3
This verse states that God will no longer drive out the nations, opposing the notion in Joshua 13:6 that they will be driven out.
Judges 2:3: Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be [as thorns] in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
Contradiction with Psalm 106:34
This verse notes the failure of Israel to destroy the nations, which contradicts the plan to drive them out mentioned in Joshua 13:6.
