Contradiction with Genesis 15:18
God's covenant to Abraham was to give the land to his descendants, extending from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, which is a much larger portion than specified in Joshua 18:22.
Genesis 15:18: In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
Contradiction with Exodus 23:31
God promises Israel a territory extending from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river Euphrates, a different scope than the one indicated in Joshua 18:22.
Exodus 23:31: And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
Contradiction with Numbers 34:3
The southern border described for the Israelites is different in context and extent compared to the territorial divisions in Joshua 18:22.
Numbers 34:3: Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
Contradiction with Deuteronomy 11:24
The territory promised here stretches from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the western sea, a broader territory compared to what is described in Joshua 18:22.
Deuteronomy 11:24: Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
Contradiction with Joshua 15:1
The boundaries of the land allocated to the tribe of Judah are described differently than the separate allocations listed in Joshua 18:22.
Joshua 15:1: [This] then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; [even] to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward [was] the uttermost part of the south coast.
