Contradiction with Numbers 14:22-23
Joshua 3:1 describes Israel preparing to enter the Promised Land, but Numbers 14:22-23 states that the current generation of Israelites would not see the Promised Land due to their disobedience.
Numbers 14:22-23: Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
Contradiction with Deuteronomy 1:34-35
In Joshua 3:1, the Israelites set out to cross into the Promised Land, yet Deuteronomy 1:34-35 records God’s oath that the disobedient generation would not enter the land.
Deuteronomy 1:34-35: And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,
Contradiction with Deuteronomy 2:14
Joshua 3:1 depicts the Israelites on the brink of entering the Promised Land, while Deuteronomy 2:14 explains that they wandered for 38 years because that generation had to perish before entering.
Deuteronomy 2:14: And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, [was] thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them. [brook: or, valley]
