Contradiction with Mark 15:11
Pilate’s effort to release Jesus is contradicted by the crowd’s insistence, led by the chief priests, to crucify Jesus.
Mark 15:11: But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
Contradiction with John 19:15
The chief priests lead a cry for crucifixion, showing active participation in Jesus's sentencing, contrary to Luke 23:13 where they seem passive.
John 19:15: But they cried out, Away with [him], away with [him], crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
Contradiction with Matthew 27:24
Pilate symbolically washes his hands of responsibility, contradicting the appearance of authority in Luke 23:13.
Matthew 27:24: When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it].
