Instructs to carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes, differing from Mark’s allowance for sandals.

Paradox #1
Mark 6:8 might seem inconsistent when compared to Matthew 10:9-10 and Luke 9:3, which describe similar instructions given by Jesus to his disciples. In Mark, they are told to take a staff, while in Matthew and Luke, they are instructed not to take a staff. This difference in details can appear contradictory when comparing the accounts across these Gospels.
