According to Matthew, Jesus did a miracle by feeding a huge crowd with very little food. Even though there were only a few loaves of bread and fish, everyone ate until they were full, and there were lots of people, even more than five thousand men, not counting the women and children.

Matthew 14:21 states that about five thousand men were fed, not including women and children, whereas John 6:10 mentions the number of men without specifying the exclusion of women and children.
