Contradiction with Acts 1:19
Acts 1:19 attributes the naming of the field to the actions of Judas, while Matthew 27:8 attributes it to the chief priests.
Acts 1:19: And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
Paradox #1
The contradiction could be related to discrepancies between the accounts of how the field mentioned was purchased, as different parts of the Bible offer varying explanations about who bought it and for what purpose.
Paradox #2
The moral conflict might arise from the use of money obtained through betrayal to purchase a field, indicating a tension between justice and the use of tainted money for a seemingly practical purpose.
