Contradiction with 1 Kings 19:8
Elijah ate, drank, and went in the strength of that meat for forty days and nights, unlike Jesus who fasted in the wilderness for the same period.
1 Kings 19:8: And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
Contradiction with Exodus 34:28
Moses was with the LORD for forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water, contrasting with the implication of human weakness due to fasting in Matthew 4:2.
Exodus 34:28: And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. [commandments: Heb. words]
Contradiction with Luke 4:2
Although this verse also speaks of Jesus fasting for forty days, it mentions he was hungry afterward, potentially differing with the strength shown by other biblical figures after similar fasts.
Luke 4:2: Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
Paradox #1
The possible contradiction in this verse would be the idea of surviving without food for 40 days and 40 nights. Scientifically, the human body can survive without food for a certain period, but 40 days is at the extreme limit and would lead to severe health issues or death without proper hydration. This event challenges our understanding of human physiology and survival capabilities.
