Numbers 17:2 describes collecting rods from each leader to determine God's chosen leader, while Hebrews 9:4 references the rod of Aaron as a past event and notable artifact, not a present test.
Hebrews 9:4: Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein [was] the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
Contradiction with Numbers 16:5
