Contradiction with Amos 5:23
While Psalms 150:4 encourages praising God with musical instruments, Amos 5:23 conveys God's rejection of music from those whose hearts are not right.
Amos 5:23: Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
Contradiction with Amos 6:5
Psalms 150:4 promotes using instruments for worship, but Amos 6:5 criticizes those who use instruments indulgently and not for the glory of God.
Amos 6:5: That chant to the sound of the viol, [and] invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; [chant: or, quaver]
Contradiction with Isaiah 24:8
Where Psalms 150:4 calls for praising with instruments, Isaiah 24:8 describes a time when joyful music ceases as part of God's judgment.
Isaiah 24:8: The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
Contradiction with Jeremiah 7:34
Unlike Psalms 150:4, which celebrates music in praise, Jeremiah 7:34 speaks of a time when there will be no sounds of joy or music in the cities due to impending judgment.
Jeremiah 7:34: Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.
