Contradiction with Jeremiah 24:6
Unlike Zechariah 7:14 where God scatters the people, this verse speaks of God setting His eyes upon them for good and promising to bring them back to their land.
Jeremiah 24:6: For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull [them] down; and I will plant them, and not pluck [them] up.
Contradiction with Jeremiah 32:37
This verse contradicts Zechariah 7:14 by expressing God's intention to gather His people from all countries back to their land, rather than scattering them.
Jeremiah 32:37: Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:
Contradiction with Ezekiel 11:17
Contrary to the scattering in Zechariah 7:14, this verse promises the gathering of the Israelites from the remote parts where they have been scattered.
Ezekiel 11:17: Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
Contradiction with Amos 9:14-15
These verses contradict Zechariah 7:14 as they highlight God's promise to plant the people in their land permanently without being uprooted again.
Amos 9:14-15: And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit [them]; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
Contradiction with Ezekiel 36:24
This verse states God's promise to gather His people from among the nations, in contrast to the scattering found in Zechariah 7:14.
Ezekiel 36:24: For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Paradox #1
Zechariah 7:14 talks about scattering people across different nations. Historically, some might find it inconsistent with promises of gathering and restoring people found in other parts of the Bible. This could create a sense of contradiction between scattering and gathering.
